Tommy, I am going to answer both of your posts here. However, before I answer your actual questions, I'd like to make a comment: Our Forum Policy requires that you use a real email address when posting here. You can hide your email from getting displayed to public. Therefore, please use your correct address to post messages. Answer 1: NDRs will always have a blank MAIL FROM. This is done by design to prevent an infinite loop of NDRs. You should not run into any problem by an incoming email with blank MAIL FROM. Could you please tell me what is the exact problem? Answer 2: The Date header is set by the MUA (mail user agent), such as Outlook or Thunderbird, not an MTA (mail transfer agent), such as Xeams. May I know which software are you using to generate your email? An MTA will add "Received" headers in the message, which will contain a date. However, this date is different than the DATE header of an email (RFC 2822). |

1: The email is real one, just the account name seems a little strange. I have select "I would like to receive an email when someone replies to my posting" 2: Realy server[MDeamon]-->Smart/Relay Server[Xeams]-->Outside Recipients. When xeams send NDR to MD,the sender is NULL and the Date is null I'm testing latest version |

Tommy, We will definitely look into the Date header. However, the MAIL FROM in the envelope should be blank. The "From" header in email should not be null though. I just want to confirm you are referring to the MAIL FROM in the envelope and not in the header, correct? |

Yes,i mean envelope from is NULL. The header From is the value set at control panel.Such as postmaster@mydomain.com. Better has options that can make envelope from and Header from the same value as set at the control panal. Also, for such NDR,should have Date:XXXXXX. or some mail server will reject such NDR. |

Tommy, I confirm. The Date header is indeed missing. We will fix this in the next update. As far as MAIL FROM value goes, every NDR should have this blank, which avoid an infinite loop. Although this is what it should be, we can certainly provide an option of changing this if you like. Let us know via email if you need this update before a public release is made available. |
