I attempted to setup SSL and got locked out of  console.

I found the article that explains how to check config files manaually, but is that possible  when running the xeams package on a Qnap?

How can I access the config files?

Got it.  Was able to SSH to the Qnap, and navigate to /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Xeams/config   And make the required changes to AppConfig.xml.

There another posted about locked out after enabling SSl

Dave,

You will need to access QNAP via SSH. The web interface for QNAP will not let you go to the path where these files are. Here are the steps:

  • Enable SSH on QNAP. The default port is 22, and I recommend you leave it at that.
  • Once connected, change the current directory to /shares/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Xeams/config
  • Depending upon the model of your QNAP, the folder name for CACHEDEV1_DATA may be different.
  • Xeams makes seven copies of its configuration in /shares/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Xeams/config/archives folder. Restore AppConfig.xml from any of the previously created archives and replace it with the one in "config" folder.
  • Finally, restart Xeams
