Xeams auto-upgraded to 4.9, build 5815. I could no longer relay any mail through the server. (Used to allow relaying if you authenticated.)
I checked the SMTP Server Configuration -> Basic settings. I have "Allow SMTP authentication" enabled. But in this build it only works on the primary port. If I try to relay though the secure SMTP port it does not work. I can use starttls on the primary port and get my email to send. But I would prefer to use the secure SMTP port and then there will be absolutely no plain text transmitted.
I'm wondering if this is a bug or by design. |

I have also run into this issue where the SMTP Extended command "AUTH LOGIN" has been removed from the Secure SMTP Port connection. Obviously, assigning the SSL port to the Primary SMTP Port is also problematic. Can we get a fix for this? |

Hello,
I can confirm this also. I'm running SSL on secondary port, server is a closed relay and it used to allow relaying email when authenticated. now it doesn't.
Technical details of temporary failure: |

Hi,
just checked for updates on the dashboard and server tools dropdown. Version 5816 fixed the issue. |
