I have the last free public build of Xeams running on my server.  In an attempt to possibly phase out Xeams (It's not affordable for my use), I've setup an Untangle firewall in front of it.  Untangle is filtering a lot of spam before it ever hits Xeams, but if I restore a message from Untangle, I can see the message hit the Xeams box through the Live monitor, but it never forwards the message on.  If I manually restore the message it goes through right away.  Any ideas?  It's kinda frustrating to have to restore a message twice.

Zack,

If you are not using Xeams for filtering emails, you should disable its filtering. One reason Xeams is blocking the message is if it thinks an incoming message is junk. In that case, the message will get quarantined. Therefore, you should disable filtering in Xeams if you are using Untangle for filtering.

Hi, thanks for responding.  I am still using Xeams for the time being...and the e-mail's in question that are being Quarantined in Untangle aren't considering spam via Xeams (because of whitelist rules or whatever).  Xeams gives it a score of say 10 but never forwards to it to the server.  If I search for the message and restore it, it gets delivered.

Zack,

Which SMTP server are you using in Xeams - Proxy or regular? If it is regular, ensure you have configured the domain name correctly. If Xeams does not know where your next SMTP server is, it won't be able to deliver the message. There are two locations you should check:

  1. The Domains tab under SMTP Configuration
  2. Manage Local Host File under Server Configuration
