Everything is set up correctly as far as I can see.. I have tried repeating installations from scratch but always get the same problem Does anybody know what this could be caused by? Below is the returned email This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its xxx@xxx.co.uk

Robert, Since you're getting a relaying denied message, that indicates Xeams is not configured to accept emails for your domain. Go to Server Configuration > SMTP Configuration, select the Domain tab and ensure your domain is listed.
