Hi Forum Users,

Hi Support Team,

i want to use Xeams in hybrid mode and route a specific e-Mail to my underlaying Mailserver (same network like Xeams).

My problem: I have to use a Smart Host in Xeams, because i dont have an static public IP.

If i use "Managed Forwarders", "Lokal Host File" or the CustomSmtpRouting.xml Xeams try to send the mails via Smart Host to the 2nd Server - Not directly via SMTP.

Is there a way to bypass the Smart Host for routing to my 2nd Mailserver? Maybe with costs like Exchange connectors?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Frederick,

Try the following steps:

  • When creating a smart host, you will see a checkbox labeled "Use For Internal Recipients."  Do NOT check this box
  • Now, go to Server Configuration > SMTP Configuration.
  • Add a new domain name representing the domain handled by your local server (other than Xeams). Use the IP address or hostname of that server in the Forward To field. Let's say that the IP address is 192.168.1.20.
  • Now, Xeams should use the smart host for emails that are not considered local, but should forward to 192.168.1.20.

There is no need to use Local Host File or CustomSMTPRouting.xml.
